Mt. Abu: The  Brahma Kumaris has globally observed 18th January as 'World Peace & Non-Violence Day' to mark the 44th Ascension Anniversary of its founding father, Prajapita Brahma Baba. Over 9000 Centers in 139 countries held public programmes, conferences, and meditation sessions for creating awareness among people to abjure violence in all forms and to adopt non-violence as a way of life in order to restore peace, harmony and happiness in society.

Mount Abu: A MoU has been signed between Education Wing of Brahma Kumaris and RKDF University, Bhopal on 19th Feb., 2013, in Shantivan to introduce Values & Spirituality Education Courses at PG Diploma and M.Sc. Level & MBA in Self Management & Crisis Management. Along with this one compulsory paper titled 'Values, Rajyoga Meditation and Conscience' will also be introduced in all courses. Dr. Ashish Dongre, V. C. of RKDF University; Dr. BK Dadi Janki, Chief of Brahma Kumaris; BK Dadi Ratanmohini and BK Mruthyunjaya participated in the MoU ceremony.

Mount Abu :Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh State said that civilizations have perished whenever its women folks have been disrespected. So we need to respect and protect our women section. He was addressing a felicitation function organised in his honour by Brahma Kumaris at its Headquarters. Hiroshima(Japan): At the Int’l Sustainability Conference, from Jan 23 – 25 here the Brahma Kumaris Delegation, including Br Charles Hogg, Sr BK Rajni, BK Mizue and BK Evelyn, participated in many sessions, networking with delegates from 46 countries represented. The BK team led a 45-minute poster session and a one-hour workshop on the theme of Inner Ecology: Aligning Awareness and Action for the Future We Want. The workshop session guided to understand how great the influence of our thoughts are and to realize that the origin of our problems is from our inner worlds, not the outer world.  The Team displayed posters and talked about the India One project, Yogic Agriculture and aspects of BK Lifestyle.
